NEET PG 2023 Internship Date: The Minister of Health and Family Welfare has extended the deadline for NEET PG 2023 internship till August 11, 2023. The Minister has confirmed that it had considered the request of aspirants and indicated that almost 13,000 MBBS students from 5 states and Union Territories are not eligible for NEET PG 2023. Therefore, a decision has been taken to extend the internship deadline. On the other hand, NEET PG 2023 is scheduled to be conducted on March 5.

While the NEET PG 2023 internship deadline is extended till August, the aspirants are requesting the minister to postpone the entrance exam that is scheduled to be conducted on March 5. NEET PG 2023 counselling will only begin in August due to the extended internship deadline and there is a huge gap between the exam date and internship date. Therefore, the aspirants are requesting the Minister to postpone the exam date at least by 6 to 8 weeks.

On February 7, 2023, NEET PG aspirants protested at Jantar Mantar to extend the internship deadline and postpone the exam to a further date. While the first demand has been met, a decision on the exam postponement is yet to be taken by the Health Ministry.

As the internship deadline for NEET PG 2023 has been extended, there is a possibility for the postponement of NEET PG 2023 to a further date. The candidates need to wait a few more days to get an official confirmation on the same. On the other hand, the candidates are advised to continue with their exam preparation to be on the safer side.

NBE is expected to re-open the application form for NEET PG 2023 to accept registrations from students as per the extended internship deadline. An official confirmation on the same will be made soon.
