Krishan Kumar’s success story is an inspiration to many young students in his village and has brought in immense pride for his parents with him cracking the NEET 2018 examination. The NEET results were announced last week along with the list of NEET 2018 toppers.
Krishan's father is an MGNREGA labourer and he is the only candidates in Sakhwara panchayat in Rajasthan Dholpur district to clear the NEET exam.
The 19-year old Krishan Kumar has spent many years studying under kerosene lamps in his village before he moved to Kota for coaching. He managed to clear the exam in his third attempt and managed to secure an All India rank of 3,099 in the NEET 2018. He will be the first man from his village to become a doctor.

He exclaimed that he was deeply motivated by his parents who consistently encouraged him to focus on his goal after his two failed attempts. Kumar passed his class 12th from a Hindi medium government school which was located at a distance of 20 km from his village.
His main aim is to provide healthcare facilities in the rural parts of India and help students get proper coaching facilities to realise their dreams. He aspires to be a cardiac surgeon after pursuing MBBS as there is an acute shortage of cardiologists in our country.

Naveen Maheshwari, Director, Allen Career Institute, Kota said that it is because of Kumar’s unyielding determination he has managed to crack the exam despite his two failed attempts. He further said that his story will act as an inspiration for many candidates who lack sources and belong to the rural sections of the society.
NEET exam is organised by the Central Board of Secondary Education for admission to MBBS and BDS programmes.
