Nepal Inaugurates its Educational Institution Built with Indian Aid

The campus of the educational institution in Nepal, Shree Narad Adarsha Education has been constructed with the assistance of India. The inauguration of the campus was done on 18th May 2019, Saturday.

Nepal Inaugurates its Educational Institution Built with Indian Aid

A brand new building of an educational institution of Nepal, which was built with the assistance of India, was inaugurated on 18th May 2019, Saturday, in the Udayapur district. India helped Nepal in the construction of the campus of the Shree Narad Adarsha Education which is located in the Chaudandigadhi Municipality of Nepal’s Udayapur District.

India provided aid of 3 crores (or 30 million) Nepali rupees for the establishment of the building. This statement was given by the Indian Embassy.

Narayan Khadha, the former Urban Development Minister and Nepali Congress leader, inaugurated the campus building of the Shree Narad Adarsha Education. The inauguration of the two-storied building was done in the presence of Ajay Kumar, the Indian Deputy Chief of Mission. The educational institution was established in the year 1971 as a secondary school and it had its own campus in the year 2003. The institution is affiliated to the Tribhuvan University.

At present, the campus of the institute offers a Bachelor degree course in management, education, and humanities which is of the duration of three years. Apart from that, it also provides education of the 10 + 2 level to around 770 students. Currently, the total number of students that have enrolled themselves is 135 and 70 percent of this total number consists of girls who are in the programme of Bachelor of Education run by the institution.

The newly built campus structure includes a meeting hall, a library, twelve classrooms, furniture and separate toilets for girls and boys. The new infrastructure of the college with make higher education accessible to the rural students of Udayapur and its adjoining districts like Khotang, Bhojpur, Saptari, and Sunsari, as told by the statement.

This project of the construction of this educational institution is a part of the Small Development Programme Scheme of India that comes under the India-Nepal Economic Cooperation Programme. In September 2016, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed for the building’s construction.
