Garbha Sanskar to be Introduced at Lucknow University on International Women’s Day 2020

The 3-Month certificate programme and the Diploma programme will raise awareness amongst the "would-be mothers" in regards to the measures that must be undertaken to produce healthy "Future Generation" who will take over the reins. 

Lucknow University to Introduce New Course related to Maternity

Lucknow University is planning to introduce a new course on 08th March 2020 that will teach various requirements and aspects of motherhood. The new proposed course will go by the name of “Garbh Sanskar” and will be launched in the upcoming International Women’s Day. It will be a diploma and certificate course.

The “Garbha Sanskar” course will be started by the Institute of Women Studies, said the Lucknow University Spokesperson Durgesh Srivastava. The duration of the certificate course will be 3 months whereas the duration of the diploma course will be from 06 months to a year added Mr Srivastava. He also said that necessary work regarding the same is currently underway and the first classes for the same will be conducted in the University’s upcoming academic session.

While speaking about the relevance of the course, Srivastava added that it will spread awareness among pregnant women about their environment, diet etc during the gestation period to ensure the newborns are healthy and hale. Since it is the first time ever that a course like this is going to be introduced in the country, the inquisitiveness among the students is noticeable.

The Luckow University spokesperson also said that experts in the field of music and medical education will be available to impart their wisdom. The implementation of the course in the upcoming session of Lucknow University will fulfil the vision Anandiben Patel - the Governor of Uttar Pradesh. This year, the International Mother’s Day will be celebrated on 10th of May whereas the International Women’s Day will be celebrated on 08th March 2020 - as usual.
