DEAN Faculty of Agricultural Sciences in the Aligarh Muslim University, Prof Javed Musarrat, has been appointed as the new Vice Chancellor of the Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University in Rajouri district for a period of five years from the date he assumes office.
An official release said that the appointment order was issued on Thursday by the Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed who is the Chancellor of the University.
Prof. Musarrat is presently Dean, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Chairman of Department of Agricultural Microbiology, AMU was born in 1960.
He has written several books and hundreds of international publications. He has served in the United States as Visiting Scientist, Michigan State University and Visiting Assistant Professor, Ohio State University, Columbus. He has wide experience of working in Middle East. He was also the Chair Professor, DNA Research Chair, King Saud University, Riyadh.
A recipient several awards he is a member of various editorial boards of Scientific Journals.
