NIT Srinagar Hosts Convocation Ceremony, 49 Students Bag Medals

National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar organized its convocation ceremony where honourable Governor Mr. Satya Pal Malik addressed the students and presented gold medals and degrees. 

NIT Srinagar Hosts Convocation Ceremony, 49 Students Bag Medals

NIT Srinagar recently celebrated its annual convocation ceremony on September 24, 2018. Honourable Governor of the State, Mr. Satya Pal Malik addressed the students and presented 49 gold medals to the toppers of M. Tech, M.Sc, B.Tech, Ph.D., M.Phil degrees to the graduating students.

Addressing the students, Mr. Satya Pal Malik, congratulated all the students who were awarded degrees. He also appreciated the efforts of the faculty and the director of the Institute for achieving success in all aspects from academics to placements. The governor pointed out the troubles faced by the institute and appreciated the efforts and courage of the institute that worked hard to bring out the best in all its students despite the troubles.

According to the governor, the education of the country grows when the society helps in strengthening the institutes of knowledge. The society, on the other hand, has also faced a large number of difficulties but they have tried their best to support and commit to safeguard the educational institutions, he added.

The governor also noted that the educated youth is the main asset of the country, Mr. Satya Pal Malik has advised the policymakers that more opportunities should be introduced for the benefits of educating youth in order to help them bring out their best talent, abilities and use them in every possible way to help in the growth of the country.
