National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal is extending collaborative opportunities by signing an MoU with the renowned company Hewlett Packard Enterprise. This agreement will bring in many internship opportunities for students and many projects related to consulting for the members of faculty. This will also increase the value-imparting guest lectures in the college and increase collaborative and creative activities for students. Also, a very high-performance computer lab, sponsored by HP will be established on the campus. Following the MoU, the department of information technology will be organising the inaugural ceremony.
The chief guest of the event will be Naresh Shah (the president of R&D, HPE, India). The event’s guest of honor will be Mahesha Nanjundaiah who is currently the director of Engineering-Hyperconverged Systems at Hewlett Packard Enterprise.\Karanam Umamaheshwar Rao, Director of NITK Surathkal will preside over the function.

NITK’s diamond jubilee year celebrations are also round the clock. For that, the IT department of NITK is going to organise a High-Performance Computing and Applications workshop. The workshop will be a week-long in which various engineering students from across the country will participate.
Many industry experts from leading companies like Amazon, HPE, CDAC delivered a session about industry trends and shared their views. Most of the expert talks topics revolved around the concept of High-performance computing.
The collaboration between NITK and HPE will be a great opportunity for the student and faculty. This will not only provide them with internship and research opportunities but will also provide relevant exposure and a way to enhance professional skills.
