Osmania University has postponed the examinations that are scheduled to take place on December 5 and December 6, 2017. Student organizations of these universities have given a call for Bandh following the suicide of a first-year M.Sc Physics student due to exam stress. The issue triggered protests on December 4, 2017, and the varsity is left with no other option except to postpone the exams.

In an official statement issued by Osmania University, concerned authorities claimed that the examinations scheduled to be held on December 5 and December 6, 2017, at varsity and affiliated colleges are postponed. The revised dates of these exams will be published on the official website of Osmania University soon.
A similar statement was also issued by JNTUH. However, the exams that are scheduled to take place on December 6, 2017, will be conducted as per schedule.

Apart from postponing the exams, Osmania University has also postponed the second phase certificate verification process for the admission to the M.Ed course. The revised dates for the same will be intimated to the candidates by SMS. The candidates can also check the official website for the revised schedule which will be confirmed soon.
In a recent notification, Osmania University confirmed that the date for submitting the application form for the admission to the Ph.D. course had been extended to December 16, 2017.
