The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET-UG 2018 was successfully conducted by CBSE on May 06, 2018. There were no major incidents across the country that affected the smooth conduct of exam. Over 13 lakh students appeared for the national-level medical entrance test in 2,225 centres across the nation. The exam centre authorities conducted stringent checks on dress code and took steps for a free and fair exam. No instances of malpractices reported across the country.

In Tamil Nadu, a few students failed to reach the exam centre due to delay in train timings. These students lost a valuable one year and will have to wait until next year to appear for NEET exam. In Madurai, there was question paper goof-up, and the exam was delayed. The officials had brought the wrong set of questions to a section of students. Instead of distributing English and Tamil question paper, English and Hindi question papers were distributed to students who chose Tamil as the medium. These students came out of the exam hall at 3:30 PM.

Apart from the above, there weren’t any major incidents pertaining to NEET on May 06, 2018.
After taking the exam, there were mixed reactions from the students over the difficulty level of the question paper. Some students termed Chemistry as the toughest section this year followed by Zoology. On the other hand, some students considered NEET-UG 2018 paper was easy than last year. In all, the difficulty level was moderate.
