A new Political Science honours degree is expected to start at St. Stephen's College, Delhi University. Delhi University’s top executive Council and Academic Council (AC) approved for the same last year but the admission process was already started by then so course could not be started back then. In this regard, the college authorities informed that they were waiting for an official communication from Delhi University.
Apart from the BA and BSc pass courses, St. Stephen's college offers honours courses in Economics, English, History, Philosophy, Sanskrit, Mathematics and Chemistry. Last year, the college had received a total of 32,100 applications to fill 400 seats, which is the highest number of applications received by the college so far.
At St. Stephen’s College, earlier the admissions used to provide on the basis of personal interviews and cut-offs announced after the Class XII exams. From last year on-wards, the college has started to conduct a 30-minute aptitude test for the candidates meeting the cut-off criteria.
