Puducherry Centralised Medical Admission (Centac) has asked all the candidates who have been alloted MBBS seats under NRI quota to join the respective college latest by August 20. This includes both government and self financing colleges.
All the MBBS seats under the NRI quota- non-resident Indian quota in both government and self financing colleges were filled during the second round of counselling. The second round of counselling took place on 14th August 2019. The NRI quota seats in Pududcherry include eighteen seats in Indira Gandhi Medical College, fifteen seats in Venkateshwaraa Medical College and eight seats in Puducherry Institute of Medical Sciences have been filled during the second rounf of counselling.

Puducherry is a union territory located in the southern part of the Indian peninsula. The Centralized Admission Committee (CENTAC) conducts the MBBS/BDS admissions for Colleges run by the Government / Societies of the Puducherry Government. The medical admission in the Union Territory is done on the basis of NEET score. The Jawaharlal Institute Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) conducts JIPMER for MBBS courses in its affiliated colleges.
