
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the preliminary exams results of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) Examination.
The exam was conducted by the commission on August 23 at 71 centres across India. Around 4.50 lakh aspirants appeared for the test at 2,186 venues. The candidates who have qualified in the Pre-exam only allow to appear for the (Mains) exam and then for the further personality test/interview round. As per the reports, the mains are scheduled to take place in the month of December.
The shortlisted candidates after PI will be admitted to different IAS or IPS/ IFS/ IES/ ISS training depending on their ranks.
The general category candidates are allowed to attempt the paper for six times. The candidates belonging to OBC category can attempt the paper for 9 times and those belonging to SC/ST category are allowed to appear as many times as they want.
