The MBA (FT) 2015 Batch students of Centre for Management Studies, Dibrugarh University (CMSDU) organized the annual event, Rhapsody-2015 recently, at the Seminar Hall of the Centre.
The annual event is organized to create awareness on IT paradigms in vogue in the field of management. It is part of the course, Computer Applications in Management which the MBA (FT) students undergo in the first semester of their study. The theme this year was “Plastic Money”.
The resource persons, namely Pranjal Bayan, Branch Manager, IDBI Bank, Dibrugarh, Pallabi Mishra, Deputy Manager, SBI, Dibrugarh and Arindam Bhattacharyya, Assistant, SBI, Dibrugarh talked on various aspects of plastic money like Credit/Debit Cards, Virtual Cards, E-wallets, Mobile Banking, etc. spread over two one-hour sessions. Deliberations were also made on the relationship between the Banks and the various service providers, the pros and cons of plastic money and its future. There were also interactions by the students with the resource persons.
The welcome address was given by Prof. Ajanta Borgohain Rajkonwar, Director, Centre for Management Studies where she shared her experiences about the theme under discussion.
