RVR & JC College Organized Yoga Day Celebrations

The management of RVR & JC Engineering College organized International Yoga Day celebrations at college auditorium in a grand manner on 21-June-2016. The celebrations were organized in collaboration with Esha foundation, Coimbatore. Students participated enthusiastically in the celebrations and performed yoga. The students were trained in yoga for one week. The celebrations were supervised by Acharya K Srinivas, Coordinator of Cultural Wing.

The celebrations were commenced at 7.30 AM by lightening the lamp by the member of Esha Foundation, R. Manohar. On this occasion, he addressed the students. He said, “Performing Yoga is good for health. It increases the life expectancy of a person and keeps his mind peaceful and reduces tensions. One can boost up their memory by performing meditation consciously. Even doctors are suggesting the people to do yoga regularly. Yoga is very much helpful to get rid of Asthma”. Later students performed various poses of yoga under the guidance of R. Manohar.

Students opined that, “Our honorable PM, Mr. Narendra Modi has given more importance to yoga and urged the youth to perform yoga every day to get rid of pressure and tension”. Faculty members also participated in the celebrations and performed various poses of yoga. The celebrations were attended by Principal of the college, Dr. K Srinivasa Rao and others.
