State Bank of India (SBI) to Conduct Probationary Officers (PO) Main Exam

The State Bank of India Central Recruitment of Promotion Department, Corporate Centre will conduct the SBI Bank PO exam 2016 on July 31, 2016.

If you are taking the State Bank of India’s PO exam, then you will need to download the SBI Bank PO Admit cards from their official website.

To download SBI Bank PO Exam Admit Card 2016, you should:

  • Click on the link 'SBI PO Main Admit Cards' on the official website of SBI
  • Enter the requisite details & submit it
  • You can view the admit cards on the screen – take a print out
  • The candidates must take a print-out for future reference

SBI Bank PO exam 2016 Paper Pattern:

The paper is divided into Objective Test & Descriptive Test:

Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis & Interpretation, General/Economy/Banking Awareness and English Language

Test will be based on Language (letter writing & essay)
Test duration - 3 hours carrying 200 marksTest duration – 30 minutes carrying 50 marks
Candidates who clear the test will be eligible for Group Discussion (GD) & Personal Interview (PI)

  • General – 4
  • General (PWD) – 7
  • OBC – 7
  • OBC (PWD) – 7
  • SC/ ST & PWC (for SC/ ST) – unlimited number of tries

Last Minute Tips & Tricks to Crack Bank PO Exam:

  • Focus on topics that you have already covered. Don’t attempt to learn something totally new at this stage
  • Keep a revision time-table and follow it strictly
  • Glance through formulas and difficult problems every alternate day
  • Solve test papers – to calculate time taken in each section, accuracy, strong points etc so that you can focus on them more. But remember, the question paper will cover the entire syllabus, do don’t leave out any subject completely
  • Rate/ rank/ score yourself. Keep targets (for score) and try to reach that
  • The time for group studies is over. Concentrate ion independent study
  • Study a question paper first and decide which sections you will attempt, instead of blindly answering
