Shivaji University organises workshop on Foreign Fellowship Opportunities on April 13 at 4 pm. The event took place at 'Center for Women's Studies' (Shivaji University) and Dr.Sachin Nikarge and Mrs.Medha Nanivadekar were the chief guest.
The Shivaji University official added that individual queries about writing fellowship proposals will be addressed in the workshop, which is free of cost for the participants.
The official added that the USIEF frequently organises several mentoring programs at several venues across the country and that the said event will throw light on applying to these kind of mentoring programs which guide on the Fulbright applications and what the selection committee looks for.
The official added that after the inception of USIEF, over 18,000 Fulbright scholarships have been awarded.
Following are some tips and guidelines to participate -
Mr. Sachin Nikarge- Program Manager at the United States-India Educational Foundation, Mumbai, will orient the participants to various grants managed by the USIEF, including the Fulbright Grant, Fulbright-Nehru, Fulbright-Kalam and Non-Fulbright Grants.
Dr. Medha Nanivadekar- A Fulbright Scholar in 2004-2005; and an awardee of four prestigious international awards including the Fellowship of the National Endowment for Democracy in Washington DC, will chair the event.
- Individual queries about writing fellowship proposals will be addressed in the workshop.
- The registration is free. To register, please email the following details to cws@unishivaji.ac.in or submit the same in the Centre’s office: (Name; Designation; College/ University Department; Subject at PG; Area of Research/ Academic Interest; Cell phone number and email address)
- To ensure adequate interaction, the first forty candidates to register will be admitted to the workshop. Each applicant will be informed about confirmation
- Of registration or otherwise on or before 12th April 2016.
