Telangana Government Denies Medical Admissions Under Management/NRI Quota before EAMCET 3
The Government of Telangana clearly stated that the private medical colleges are not allowed to conduct medical admissions under management and NRI quota until the completion of EAMCET 3. Most of the private medical colleges opined that the deadline for the completion of medical admissions according to MCI is September 30, 2016. The EAMCET 3 examination is scheduled to take place on September 11, 2016.
The authorities are of the opinion that the meritorious students of EAMCET 3 might lose seats under convenor or government quota if private colleges conduct admissions for management seats before the completion of admission process under EAMCET 3.
The authorities of private medical colleges opined that the colleges are free to conduct admissions under management quota, and state government has no role to deny it.
On the other hand, the government is planning to approach Supreme Court to extend the date of admissions to medical courses in the state. The results of EAMCET 3 exam will be declared on September 15, and it is tough to complete the admission process by the deadline set by MCI. The government is expecting a positive response from the apex court.
