Telangana has premier technical institutes like IIT Hyderabad and IIIT Hyderabad. However, the state government has been eagerly waiting for an IIM since 2014.

Recently, Mr. Kadiyam Srihari confirmed that the state government had taken the decision to conduct all the entrance exams in English, Telugu and Urdu languages. Considering the demands of Urdu medium students in the state, the State Council for Higher Education has initiated the process for searching Urdu scholars and professionals to translate the question papers. There will be no separate question paper in the Urdu language, and it will be a mere translation of English medium question paper.
