Three Institutes from Nagpur have figured out in the recently released report of HRD Ministry on the ranking of different Indian Universities and Institutes.
Those colleges that figured out into top 100 lists are Visvesvaraya National Institute Of Technology ( VNIT ) ranked 18 and Shri Ramdeobaba College Of Engineering And Management( SRCEM ) ranked 86. While Institute Of Management Technology made to top 100 lists with Rank 39.
Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur is one of the thirty National Institutes of Technology in the country. The Govt. of India conferred on the Institute, the Deemed to be University status (under University Grants Commission Act, 1956 (3 of 1956)) with effect from 26th June 2002. Subsequently, the Central Govt. by Act of Parliament (National Institutes of Technology Act, 2007 (29 of 2007)) declared VNIT Nagpur as an Institute of National Importance along with all other NITs. The Act was brought into force on 15th August 2007.
Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management (RCOEM), formerly Shri Ramdeobaba Kamla Nehru Engineering College (SRKNEC), is a college in Nagpur, India. It is an autonomous institution affiliated to Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University. The college is situated in the heart of India in Nagpur city, was established in 1984 by Shri Ramdeobaba Sarvajanik Samiti trust. The trust has been engaged in social activities since 1967.
