ASU's Thunderbird School of Global Management to launch its global initiative in Mumbai. The objective is to reach and educate 100 million learners by 2030. 

Thunderbird School of Global Management, ASU to Launch in Mumbai its Global Initiative

The Thunderbird School of Global Management, Arizona University launched its new global initiative in Mumbai. The initiative is to educate more than 100 million people before 2030 across the world. It has been launched in many continents across the globe. Thunderbird’s Center of Excellence will be opened in Mumbai, as a part of the office to connect globally across multiple institutions to make an impactful engagement worldwide.

The Francis and Dionne Najafi Global Initiative recently donated USD 25 million to Thunderbird. This donation will be used to offer an online certificate programme on Global Management and Entrepreneurship, divided into five world-class courses and in 40 different languages. The course will be free of cost with 100% scholarships to all the students interested.

The Co-Founder of Leap Scholar, Vaibhav Singh says that Leap Scholar also looks at providing a world-class education to students. He also states that Leap Scholar is ready to join ventures with Thunderbird School of Global Management, ASU, which is ranked at the top of the list for global management, and be a part of such an initiative to educate multiple learners and help them with global opportunities.  

Students participating in the Francis and Dionne Najafi Global Initiative will each receive a badge for completing each course. And upon the completion of all the five courses of the Thunderbird Executive Education, they will receive a certificate. Students will learn a skill set necessary in the 21st century to take a jump in their career paths. They will alsol get a lifelong learning opportunity at Thunderbird and ASU. The students can also apply for an accredited 15-unit certificate on completion of the course from Thunderbird School of Global Management, ASU.

To ensure that the Initiative reaches its goal to educate 100 million students by 2030, it requires a strategic and planned approach. In the first year, it aims to reach the students from Brazil, Mexico, Egypt, Columbia, Kenya, Iran, Senegal, Indonesia, Vietnam, and India in 10 languages. In the second year, it aims to cover learners from Asia, Africa, Latin America, and West Asia and in about 25 languages. By the fourth year, the initiative is expected to cover Central Asia and Europe as well in 40 languages. Gradually, the Global Initiative will be available around the world to attain the 100 million learners by 2030 goal.
