Two boys from northeast Jashpur District of Chhattisgarh were selected for prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) Delhi.Nitesh Painkra and Deepak Kumar from the tribal villages of Jargam and Kudekela have secured admission in the Textile Engineering department of IIT Delhi, making their families proud.
District Collector of Jashpur, Priyanka Shukla revealed that 21 students from the district secured admission IIT and National Institute of Technology (NIT), out of which two are in IIT Delhi.
Nitesh Painkra’s mother works as Anganwadi representative. He completed his school education from Balrampur district. Later, he returned to Jashpur to prepare for IIT entrance exam through a coaching centre. It was his dream to secure admission to the premier institute. Nitesh’s aim is to serve the people, and he will be appearing for UPSC Civil Services Examination after the completion of engineering.

Deepak Kumar is from a poor background, and his father works as a labourer. He studied in a government school and later started preparing for the IIT entrance exam. He took coaching from a coaching unit run by the district administration.
District Collector Priyanka Shukla played an important role in helping the students. Soon after Nitesh and Deepak selected for IIT Delhi, Shukla arranged for their travel to Delhi. District Mineral Fund Trust has been helping the meritorious students so that they could take up higher studies

Both of them thanked the District Administration, particularly, Priyanka Shukla who made their journey possible to Delhi. They thanked the authorities for organising coaching classes for IIT entrance exam.
