Central Board of Secondary Education is to conduct National Eligibility Test (NET) -2015 on December 27. Interested candidates should apply before Nov 1. The test is conducted to determine the eligibility for the posts of Assistant Professors or Junior Research Fellowship at Indian Universities. The test is conducted in 83 subjects at 88 selected NET Examination Cities spread across the country.
Eligibility criteria:

A Master's degree or its equivalent from a recognized university is a must. The degree must be from these disciplines- Humanities, languages, Social Science, Electronic Science, Computer Science and Application, etc. A minimum score of 55 percent in their qualifying degree (50 percent for those under the reserved categories) is the must. Final year aspirants awaiting results are also eligible.
Ph.D degree holders who had completed their Master's level qualification before September 19, 1991 are eligible with a relaxation of five percent.

The candidates who have post-graduate diploma/certificate awarded by Indian University/ institute or foreign degree/diploma/certificate awarded by the foreign University/institute should in their own interest, ascertain the equivalence of their diploma/degree/certificate with Master's degree of recognised Indian universities from Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi. The test is held twice a year.
