The British Council India is collaborating UK-based University of Southampton to offer GREAT Education scholarships to Indian students pursuing bachelors or integrated masters programme in the UK for the year 2017.
The University of Southampton will be providing four 'Great scholarships' to the Indian students who wish to study undergraduate or masters courses at the university in the upcoming session beginning from September 2017. Each scholarship will have a value of £8,500 but will be awarded in the first year only i.e for the academic year 2017-18.
All these scholarships will be offered as a reduction in tuition fees of the university. Candidates must note that these GREAT scholarships are not compatible with other scholarships offered the University of Southampton.

These scholarships will be applicable for a range of undergraduate and four years integrated masters programmes including B.Sc Politics and International Relations, B.Sc Oceanography, B.Sc Criminology and psychology, B.Engg Electrical and Electronic Engineering, B.Engg Acoustical Engineering, M.Engg Acoustical Engineering, M.Physics with Astronomy, and many other courses.
The last date to fill the application form for the scholarships is 31 May 2017.
Eligibility criteria:
Applicants must qualify in his/her high school from India.
He/she must be self-funded and belong to the international student category for tuition fees purpose.
They must apply for any of the eligible integrated masters or bachelor's programmes.
Candidate should receive a conditional or unconditional offer letter from the University of Southampton on or before 31 May 2017 for the applied degree programme starting from September 2017.

Fill the GREAT Scholarships India application form available on the official website.
The complete scholarship application form attached with a scanned copy of the latest grade sheet and a copy of the offer letter provided by the University of Southampton to be sent to the International Office at international@soton.ac.uk.
Applicants will be selected for the scholarship on the basis of academic merit and submitted GREAT scholarship application form. Successful students will be notified about the same in June 2017.
