University of Sydney to Provide Scholarships worth ₹25 Million to Indian Students

For a better international experience, the University of Sydney launches scholarship schemes of worth ₹25 million in partnership with IIT Bombay, Tech Mahindra and TISS.   

University of Sydney to Provide Scholarships worth ₹25 Million to Indian Students

In partnership with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) and Tech Mahindra, the University of Sydney has decided to offer scholarships worth ₹25 million to Indian students. The scholarships will be awarded to the applicants who have applied for undergraduate or postgraduate courses at the University of Sydney and are residing in India currently.

Highlights of University of Sydney Scholarship Scheme:

The scholarship scheme includes -

  1. Ten 1st year scholarships of ₹1 million each to the candidates applying for undergraduate as well as postgraduate courses.
  2. Three scholarships of ₹2.5 million each only to the candidates applying for undergraduate courses. The scholarships will be paid over the four-year duration of any of the undergraduate degrees.
  3. Fifteen 1st-year scholarships of ₹500,000 each to the candidates applying for postgraduate as well as undergraduate courses.

The partnership of the University with IIT Bombay will help the doctoral students in mobility between the two institutions. The research projects will be focusing on a wide range of fields including nanoscale technology and science.

With TISS, the University will be looking at the real-world projects that are managed and developed by both the universities, focusing on social inequality, environmental sustainability and economic development.

The University of Sydney has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the goal of which is to allow students to work with industry experts on the problems related to the Internet of Things (IoT), Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Augmented and Virtual Reality.
