The Communication Department at the University of Hyderabad has been rewarded with the Top Three Best Colleges for 2019 as ranked in the India Rankings. It is also the only South Indian College ranked among the top 10 public-funded institutions as well as being offered the Best Value for Money award.
In a proud moment for the Department of Communication at the University of Hyderabad, the department has been awarded the rank of the top the three colleges as the Best College for in India in the India Rankings.
Some of the previous achievements of the department was that of being the Top University Department in the public category in India. Apart from these achievements, the Communication Department at the University of Hyderabad had also ranked among the Top Five Institutions in India for the “Lowest Fees” as well as being awarded the Best Value for Money for the courses that are offered under the department. To add to the merit list of the department, another big achievement was that they were the only institutions to be mentioned from the colleges and institutions in all of South India for the Top 10 India Rankings.

The Department of Communication at the University of Hyderabad was established more than 3 decades ago and has been offering various under its department to the students aspiring to be professionals in the field of Communication. The Department also houses UNESCO Chair for Community Media and has been doing so for almost a decade, since 2011.

The Department of Communication from the University of Hyderabad also hosts a community radio by the name of Bol Hyderabad on 90.4 FM. One of the prominent facilities that the college provides its students is the TV Studio as well as a new lab for print and new media.
