Spirituality Classes for MBBS and PG Medicos Students in UP

The government of Uttar Pradesh has come up with a solution to help the UG and PG medicos cope with anger, depression and burnout. The Uttar Pradesh - Department of Medical Education (UP DGME) will be introducing spirituality classes for the MBBS and PG medicos in the state.

Students studying MBBS/ MD/ MS at medical colleges in Uttar Pradesh often tend to go through depression and anger that affects the doctor-patient relationship. The conflicts between doctors and patients are rising, consequently disturbing the healthy environment of hospitals. A job as important and full of responsibilities as of medicos’ often burns out the students, eventually resulting in a misdemeanour with their patients. To help medicos cope with this problem and maintain a positive and healthy environment in hospitals, the UP government has come up with a creative idea of introducing morality and spirituality classes for the students.
