UPSC NDA & NA (Preliminary) Shift 1 Exam Analysis 2023: The UPSC NDA NA 2023 Exam is being conducted today, April 16. The first shift of the exam scheduled from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM is being held for the Mathematics paper.   • The overall difficulty level of the Math paper in Shift 1 was moderate

  • The paper pattern was slightly different from the previous years in terms of the level of questions asked

  • As per students' opinion, the questions were calculative and a bit time-taking.

  • There were fewer questions that were formula-based. 

  • Most of the questions from Algebra and Calculus were based on Trigonometry

  • Trigonometry questions were slightly difficult since the property of 'value-putting' could not be applied

  • Questions were not asked directly from any one sub-topic but from a mix of topics

  • Overall, candidates found the Mathematics paper lengthy.

  • Around 10-11 questions were asked from Statistics

  • According to students, those who solved PYQs and mock tests could attempt the questions better
