The Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has invited applications for the admission to Bachelor of Commerce programme for the academic year 2017.

The Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) University has invited applications for the admission to Bachelor of Commerce programme for the academic year 2017-18. The candidates who are interested will have to fill and submit the application form online through the official website. They can also submit the form offline. The last date to apply is 5th June 2017. The fees for the B.Com programme is INR 1,14,000.

Application Process:

For Online Application

  • Students can apply online on the official website.
  • The application cost is Rs.400. It can be paid through the Net banking / Debit card/Credit card.
  • The cost of application is non-refundable.

For OMR application form

  • The offline application form will be available from 1st week of April.
  • The application cost is Rs.400
  • The necessary enclosures which include the Application Form and a printed self-addressed envelope, along with the information brochure and the prospectus can be obtained against cash payment of Rs. 400/- in person from the VIT Campus. OR
  • Students can send a Demand Draft of Rs.400 in favor of ‘VIT University’ payable at Vellore with a request letter containing the complete address of the candidate and the contact details.

Eligibility:

  • Minimum 70% overall aggregate in Senior Secondary Examination conducted by the Central /State Board or its equivalent examination.
  • Aspirants should have studied Commerce / Accountancy / Mathematics as one of the subjects in +2 or its equivalent.
  • For the following categories, the overall aggregate marks obtained in the subjects in higher secondary examination or equivalent should be 60%:
  1. Students belonging to Scheduled Tribes (ST)/ Scheduled Castes (SC).
    To be noted that these students must fill in Performa, available in the brochure. It has to be truly attested by the competent authority.
  2. Students belonging to Jammu & Kashmir and the Seven Sisters North Eastern states of Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Assam, Mizoram, Sikkim, Nagaland, and Manipur.
    It has to be noted that such students should fill in the Certificate to Prove Nativity Performa, available in the information brochure. It has to be truly attested by the competent authority.

At the time of admission, if a student is not able to submit mark-sheets. Then the decision taken by the management regarding their eligibility and admission shall be final.
