VITEEE is an online entrance test for B.Tech admissions to Vellore Institute of Technology in Tamil Nadu. The scheduled result date of VITEEE 2017 is on or before April 24th, 2017. Candidates can check the merit list on the result page of the official website. VITEEE examination was conducted in slots. It began from 5th April and continued until 16th April.

To prepare the VITEEE merit list, VIT university uses Equipercentile Equating Method. On the basis of this method, the percentile rank of the entrants is identified using a statistical approach.
In order to adjust the scores of each session, the equating method is used. To calculate the ranks and merit list of the aspirants, these scores are taken on different test forms. Using this method, VIT University will identify the percentile ranks in VITEEE 2017 for students wherein scores of different forms with the same percentile rank will be considered equal. As explained by the university, according to the percentile rank, the 90 Percentile Rank denotes that there are a total of 10 percent test takers who score above that score level while 90 percent score below that test score.
