Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology Nagpur(VNIT), Belarusian State University sign MoU on academic collaborations.
According to collaborations in the field of Communication Electronics, Information and Technology, and Radio Electronics and Development and Research Collaboration . The MoU was also signed on Student and Faculty Exchange.
Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur (VNIT Nagpur), also referred to as NIT Nagpur, formerly Regional College of Engineering, Nagpur (REC) and Visvesvaraya Regional College of Engineering (VRCE), is a premier federally-funded technical institute in India. It is located in Nagpur, Maharashtra, in central India. The institute has been consistently ranked among the best fifteen engineering colleges in India. The institute was established in June 1960 and later named in honour of engineer, planner and statesman, Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya.
It is one of the National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and in 2007 was conferred the status of Institute of National Importance (INI) by an Act of Parliament of India. The institute awards bachelors, masters and doctoral degrees in engineering, technology and architecture.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed at a programme held at VNIT Hall in the presence of Speaker of Council of the Republic of Belarus and former Prime Minister Dr Mikhail Myasnikovich and Dr Mikhail Batura and VNIT’s Chairman Vishram Jamdar and Director Narendra Chaudhary. Others present on the occasion include Belarus’s Vitali Vovoc, Simain Shapiro, Bladimir Senco, Nikolai, Kazerovates, Tamara, Dolgoshai, Yuri Koziyatako, Marat Zilinski, Mikhail Maitalikov, and also Joint Secretary of Maharashtra Legislature Mahendra Kaj, Secretary of Speaker Sunil Zore.
This MOU signed between the two Universities will be a great step in the field of Research for students of VNIT.
