Amid rising Covid-19 cases in the country, students have been demanding the government postpone or cancel CBSE Class 10, 12 Term 2 exams 2022.
Will CBSE Class 10, 12 exams 2022 be postponed or cancelled? This is the major concern of many students and parents. CBSE Class 10, 12 Term 2 exams 2022 is scheduled to begin on April 26. Due to the rising Covid-19 cases in India (4th wave), health concerns and the safety of students have once again come into the limelight. On the other hand, the exams are being conducted offline which is further increasing the safety concerns among students and parents. As of now, CBSE has not given any update on the postponement of CBSE Class 10, 12 exams 2022.
In all probability, the chances of postponing CBSE Class 10, 12 exams 2022 are less as the number of days left for the exam is four. On the other hand, CBSE has made all the arrangements for the exam and released the admit card as well. If CBSE postpones the exams of Class 10 and 12, it will again impact the 2022-23 admission timeline. There is less chance for the cancellation of exams as well. CBSE had cancelled 10, 12 exams in 2021 and 2020 owing to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Considering India’s vaccination drive for children and other reasons, CBSE might not postpone or cancel the exams. Conducting exams online is also not a feasible option for CBSE due to the lack of time. The Term 1 exams of CBSE were conducted in November-December 2021, and the results were announced in February.
Many students have been posting on Twitter demanding the postponement/ cancellation of CBSE Class 10, 12 Term 2 exams 2022 amid the 4th wave Covid-19 pandemic. An online petition is also being signed by students with the objective to intensify demand to postpone or cancel exams.

As CBSE has not taken any decision on exam postponement, it is advisable for students to keep up their preparation and not hamper their last-minute revision. Even if a petition gets filed in Supreme Court demanding the cancellation or postponement of exams, it will be quashed by the apex court. Supreme Court will no more entertain petitions seeking postponement or cancellation of exams.
