CBSE Class 12 Term 2 Exam Pattern 2022

Some of the major highlights for CBSE Class 12 Term 2 Exam Pattern 2022 have been listed below:

  • The exam will be conducted for a total of 2 hours duration.
  • The exam will be conducted in offline mode.
  • The medium of the paper will be English and Hindi.
  • There will be a variety of question formats in the paper including case-based/situation-based, open-ended- short answer/ long answer type questions.
  • The students will be provided answer books and they will have to attempt their exam on the answer books only.
  • The use of log tables and calculators is not allowed in the exam.
  • The papers will be conducted for a maximum of 50 marks out of which 15 marks will be for the practical exam and 35 marks will be for the theory exam.
  • In the optional papers, the paper will be for a total of 40 marks in theory and 10 marks in the internal assessment/ practical exam.
  • In case the situation is not favorable then instead of a normal descriptive exam, 90 minutes MCQ-based exam will be conducted at the end of Term 2 also.

CBSE Class 12 Term 2 Marking Scheme 2022

The marking scheme for CBSE Class 12 Term 2 exam are as follows:

  • The very short answer type questions will carry 2 marks each. 
  • The short answer type questions will carry 3 marks each. 
  • The case based type question will carry 5 marks.
  • For a correct answer, designated marks will be given.
  • For an incorrect or unattended answer, 0 marks will be given.

The CBSE Class 12 Term 2 paper will be of a descriptive type which will consist of variety in terms of question types. All the questions will be compulsory. The questions will be divided into different sections for different types. The internal choice will also be provided in some of the questions where the candidates can choose alternative questions to attempt.
