STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) is a stream which is considered to be dominated by men. However, with the passage of time, many women in India have shown a considerate collaboration and contribution in the field of STEM.
It has been noted that one of the main reasons why there has been lesser interest from women in STEM is due to a lack of women role models in the same field. This calls for a higher contribution of women role models in order to encourage women to take STEM as an option for their higher studies.
