Xavier School of Management, Jamshedpur (XLRI) organized an interactive session with Professor & Chairman, Anil D Sahasrabudhe, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The topic for the event was The Future of High Education in India - Management in India.
XLRI Director, Fr.E. Abraham welcomed him to the institute and in his welcome speech, he expressed his excitement to have Mr. Sahastrabudhe on campus.

AICTE Chairman addressed the audience and expressed his views on higher education. The session was attended by the students and faculty of the institute apart from other renowned guests who were a part of the event as well. While addressing the audience, Professor Anil D Sahasrabudhe said that the main aim of the higher education is not just about academic excellence, but an amalgamation of various co-curricular activities and academic curriculum for the holistic development of students.

He further said that education should be output based and not just input based which includes libraries, classroom teaching, good infrastructure and laboratories. The output-based education is very beneficial in the long-run for students as it primarily focuses on student achievements.
Apart from this, the students should have a social outlook and pay attention to the demands of the society as well. The institute should just not focus on academic education but incorporate skills such as teamwork and time management.
