JEE Main 2019: B.Arch/ B.Planning Eligibility Criteria Revised

The eligibility criteria forB.Arch/ B.Planningfor JEE Main 2019 has been revised. The Council of Architecture (COA) has made amendments to its COA Regulations (Minimum Standards of Architectural Education) 1983. As per the amended regulations, students with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as the compulsory subjects in Class 12 are eligible for pursuing five-year B.Arch course. Earlier, Mathematics was the only subject, which was compulsory to appear forJEE Mainto pursue B.Arch course.National Testing Agency (NTA)has notified the new changes in the eligibility criteria of JEE Main for B.Arch/ B.Planning courses.
Candidates aspiring to pursue B.Arch/ B.Planning course through JEE Main 2019 must note that Class 12 with an aggregate of 50% marks and 50% marks in Maths, Physics and Chemistry are mandatory to be eligible for the entrance exam and admission.

Theregistration process for JEE Main January 2019 examis underway. For the first time, JEE Main is being conducted twice a year. The second JEE Main exam will take place in April 2019. Candidates who are yet to register for JEE Main January 2019 can submit theJEE Main online application formthrough the official website of NTA.
As the candidates have only three months for the exam, they should start preparing for the same now. Before starting theJEE Main exam preparation, the candidates must have complete awareness ofJEE Main syllabus.
