JEE Main Application Form 2025

JEE Main Application Form 2025 is likely to be released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) between November 1 and 10, 2024. However, the exact date for the JEE Main form 2025 will be announced through the notification PDF, which will release on the official website: jeemain.nta.ac.in. Candidates who want to appear for the JEE exam have to fill out the complete JEE Main online form. The application form for the JEE Main 2025 exam is divided into four stages: i) Registration for the JEE Main exam; ii) Filling out the JEE Main application form; iii) Uploading Documents and iv) Paying the application fee. If candidates miss out on any of the steps, then the application form will not be accepted by the NTA. 

The male candidate falling under the category of UR/OBC/EWS from India has to pay INR 1000 as an application fee, whereas the female candidates from UR/OBC/EWS have to pay INR 800 as an application fee. However, the SC/STPwD/Transgender category candidate has to pay INR 500 as application fees to appear for the JEE Main 2025 exam.

What's New in JEE Main Application Form Process?

The NTA introduced new changes to the JEE Main Application Process in the last couple of years. These are as follows - 

• The JEE Main Registration Process has been simplified into three steps - Registration, Completion of the JEE Main Application Form and Payment of the JEE Main Application Fee.

• Candidates must enter the OTP sent to their mobile number during registration and billing.

• The JEE Main Exam Centres will be displayed according to the current and permanent addresses of the candidates enrolled.

• Following the final submission of the JEE Main Application Form, candidates will receive a copy of the same on their email address. The JEE Main Registration Form can be obtained from DigiLocker.

Who can fill JEE Main Application Form 2025

Only those candidates who meet the eligibility criteria laid by NTA can fill out the NTA JEE Main registration form. These criteria include parameters like age, qualification, state/domicile etc. 

• There is no age limit for candidates appearing for the JEE Main  exam
• Candidates who have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination in 2024, 2023 or appearing in  irrespective of their age can apply

Documents Required to Fill Out JEE Main Application Form @jeemain.nta.ac.in

Candidates need to upload certain documents necessary to fill out the JEE Main 2025 Application Form. The list of required documents to proceed with the JEE Main Registration can be checked below -

• Scanned image of a passport-size coloured photo and signature of the candidate

• Class 10 and Class 12 pass certificate

• PwD certificate if belongs to the category

• EWS certificate (for applicable candidates)

• OBC/SC/ST category certificate (if applicable)

• Credit/Debit card details or Net banking details for JEE Main application form fee payment

Steps to Fill JEE Main Application Form 2025 @jeemain.nta.ac.in

Step 1: JEE Main Registration

• Visit the official website of JEE Main: jeemain.nta.nic.in.

• Register yourself as a New User/New Candidate by clicking on the tab indicating 'New Registration'.

• Next, you will be redirected to a detailed instruction page. Candidates are required to click on the 'Accept Terms & Conditions' button and save the page for future reference.

• The link will take you to a new page where you need to enter all your details such as Name, DOB, Gender, Email address, Security questions & answers, Nationality, and Identification No. and Type etc. 

• After entering all the required information, click on the 'Submit' tab.

• Note down your login credentials along with the JEE Main Application Form Number for future reference.

Step 2: Fill Out Complete JEE Main Registration  Details

• Provide all the basic (personal) as well as academic (educational) details like:

1. Medium of Language

2. Father's and Mother's name

3. Guardian name, occupation, Income

4. Exam applying for

5. Examination Mode

6. UIDAI (Aadhaar card number)

7. Year of Passing, Board, Percentage, Marks, Roll Number

8. Category of the candidate (General, OBC, SC & ST)

9. Married status

10. Residence

11. Address details and so on

• Click on the 'Submit' tab. A registration number / ID will be generated after the final submission.

• Select any four cities of their preference for the examination centre. 

Step 3: Upload Required Scanned Documents in JEE Main Application Form

• Scan all the required documents such as photographs, signatures, and academic documents

• Upload the scanned copy according to the format and size specifications

• Click on the 'Preview' button and submit

Step 4: JEE Main Application Form Fees Payment

• Pay the Registration Fees via E-Challan or Credit/Debit card for their JEE Main Application form

• Fill in all the essential details that require you to pay the fees online

Those who want to pay the fee through E-Challan must know the procedure for the successful submission of the Challan. The steps for the same are mentioned below 

• The E-Challan forms will be available on the official website of SBI.

• Candidates are supposed to look for the SBI MOPS page and download the challan in a PDF format on an A4 size plain sheet.

• If the candidates are paying online then the amount must be paid first and then the printout must be taken.

• Those who want to make the payment in offline mode will additionally have to follow the same steps as that of the online mode for getting the E-Challan, as the CBS system of SBI is merged with the MOPS system.

• The JEE Main Application Form with the amount attached or mentioned in the form must be submitted at the nearest SBI branch within 12 hours of the E-Challan generation.

• After the successful submission of the JEE Main Online Form, candidates are supposed to download the acknowledgement section and take a printout of it. The acknowledgement page is an essential document stating the details of the candidates and prescribing the completion of the JEE Main Application Process. The document must be kept safely for future reference in JEE Main Examination.

JEE Main Application Form Fees (Category Wise)

JEE Main 2025 Application Form Correction Window

NTA conducts the JEE Main 2025 Application Correction process, allowing candidates to make edits to their application form through the website: jeemain.nta.ac.in. Applicants who complete and submit the JEE Main Application Form before the deadline are only permitted to make adjustments (if any) to the form. It must be noted that not all the sections of information provided in the form can be edited at the candidates’ end. Other than exam cities, JEE Main aspirants will be allowed to change some details like category, language, name, image, etc. The correction is open for a few sections only. Once the final correction is done, no further changes can be made to the application form. Only the candidates who complete the JEE Main Application Fee payment will be allowed to make the corrections.

Steps to Make Corrections in JEE Main Application Form 

Students can make corrections to the JEE Main Application Form by following these steps:

• Visit the official portal of JEE Main - jeemain.nta.ac.in
• Click on the ‘Login For Image Correction’ icon
• Enter your Application Number, Password and Security PIN to log in
• Look for the ‘Manage Form Particulars Correction’ tab
• Click on the tab
• Go through the mentioned instructions carefully
• Begin editing
• Pay the required fee

Details that can be Edited in JEE Main Application Form

The following details can be edited while correcting the JEE Main application form - 

• Personal Details: Spelling mistakes in name and parent's name can be corrected
• Academic Details: School details, qualifying exam details, and marks scored can be edited during the correction form window.
• Choice of paper: If candidates have applied for Paper 1 and wish to apply for both papers, they can do so at the time of correction by paying the remaining fees.
• Language of medium: Candidates can change their language of medium from English/Hindi to any regional language.
• Category: If candidates change from the General to the Reserved category, their application fee will not be refunded and if candidates change from the Reserved to General category then additional fees must be paid. 

Note: Candidates will not be allowed to change the examination centre and mode of examination.

JEE Main Application Form Correction Fee Charges

• Candidates who have made changes in their category and opted for Paper II in addition to Paper I will have to pay additional charges.

• Reserved category students will get relaxation in the additional application fee charges.

• Applicants will have to deduct the already paid application fee from the fee that is to be paid now for paying the balance fee.

• The aspirant who chooses both Paper 1 and Paper 2 of JEE Main but after correction, he/she wants to opt for only one of the papers will not receive a refund of the fee.

JEE Main Registration Fee Refund Process

The NTA does not provide a refund of JEE Main Registration Fees since it is non-refundable in nature. But in case double transactions or extra amounts are paid, the NTA will refund the application fees.

• Visit the official website of NTA JEE Main - jeemain.nta.nic.in

• Log in with the registered credentials

• Once the JEE Main Application Form 2025 is displayed on the screen, enter the details to initiate the refund

• Note down the Transaction Number

• In case of an auto-debit error, the refund will be processed automatically

When will the NTA not provide a refund for JEE Main Application 2025?

When the candidates have applied for both the JEE Main papers and have chosen to attempt one, NTA will not provide a refund for the other paper. Hence candidates must be vigilant during their JEE Main registration process.

How to Check Status of JEE Main Application Form?

Students who manage to successfully submit the JEE Main application form will receive a message on their registered email address and mobile number. However, if students want to check their application status, they can log in to the NTA JEE Main portal using their credentials such as application number and password. Candidates can check the status of their duly filled JEE Main Registration Form to confirm their final submission. The current status of the application form for JEE Main will be visible on the screen.

What After the JEE Main Registration?

After the completion of the JEE Main 2025 Registration, candidates will be able to get their JEE Main Admit Card. The admit card is the ticket to the examination hall for the candidates who successfully submit the application form and pay the required fees on time. Without the admit card, no candidates will be permitted inside the examination hall to write the test. Candidates must also know that the admit card will contain the details of the candidates and the examination. The date, time and venue of the examination, along with the name of the examination, will be visible on the JEE Main hall ticket.

Candidates are required to set a password and a security PIN during JEE Main registration . Although it can be changed later, it is preferable to choose a password that is strong and easy to remember. However, there might be instances where students forget or misplace their login password. • Answer the security question
• Reset password link sent to candidate's registered email address

• Visit JEE Main official website - jeemain.nat.nic.in
• Click on the candidate login link
• Click on the forget password link
• Enter the JEE Main application number and date of birth
• Students will receive the link for password reset on their registered mobile number/email address

There may be chances that students forget their application number. In such cases, they can search for the email that was sent by NTA during the initial registration process. Total Number of Candidates Registered for JEE Main 2024 Session 1 (January)

According to official data, there has been a surge in the number of registrations for JEE Session 1 2024 when compared to the previous year. This year's registration count has set a new record for the highest number of registrations ever recorded for the examination. In 2023, a total of 8.6 lakh candidates had registered for JEE Main Session 1.
