UoH Ranked Fourth in WEEK-HANSA Research Rankings Survey
The University of Hyderabad (UoH) secured the fourth position in the WEEK-HANSA Research Ranking Survey for the Best Universities of 2019. It was preceded by JNU, BHU, and DU.
The University of Hyderabad (UoH), also known as Hyderabad Central University, has been given the fourth rank in the WEEK-HANSA Research Rankings Survey for Best University list of the year 2019. The University of Hyderabad had received this position in the rankings of 2018 as well and has maintained its position this year too.
The University of Hyderabad is among the country’s top 80 multidisciplinary universities in the list which included central universities, state universities, private universities, and deemed universities.
According to the survey, the first rank was bagged by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), the second rank was given to Banaras Hindu University (BHU), and the third rank was taken by the University of Delhi (DU).

The University of Hyderabad ranked the first among all the top multidisciplinary universities in South India. The Vice-Chancellor of UoH, Professor Appa Rao Podile, expressed his delight at this and said that the entire university is pleased to get a rank among the top four universities of India. He said that the possibility of this happening is only because of the efforts put in by the students, faculty, alumni, and non-teaching staff.
Professor Podile further added that the university had initiated some additional quality measures for helping in improving its position at the national as well as international level.
The WEEK-HANSA Research Rankings Survey for Best Universities was conducted after collecting factual information from over 570 leading universities in the country. The universities are ranked every year based on their performance in several categories.

The University of Hyderabad was established in the year 1974 and goes by the motto “Education results in liberation”. It offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate courses in several disciplines.
