The BU has provisions and arrangements for providing financial assistance to all its deserving candidates. This financial assistance is available to the candidates at both the UG and PG levels. On that note, the following is the list of scholarship categories available at the university for meritorious candidates:

• National Scholarship – This is also popularly known as the Student’s Scholarship program and is assisted by the Central government. These scholarships are given to candidates with disabilities as per the rehabilitation councils of India. The candidate’s guardian or family must have an annual income of less than Rs.1 lakh. These scholarships are meant for both reserved and unreserved categories. 
• National Loan Cum Scholarship – This scholarship has got the same criteria as that of the National Scholarship. However, a group of selected applicants must appear for a test in this case. Based on the results of the scholarship test, the candidate will be selected for the said scholarship program. These scholarships are meant for both reserved and unreserved category
• Post-Matriculation Scholarship – These scholarships that the government of India provides are meant for ST students with an annual family income of less than rupees 2.5 lakhs. 
• PG Merit Scholarship – Thes scholarships have similar parameters and features for awarding. Yet, the family income of the respective candidate must not exceed rupees 5 Lakhs, and the selected candidates must appear for a test as and when required. 
• Gagan-Bharati Shiksha Yojana – India's honorable government awards these scholarships to candidates whose family income is less than rupees 3 lakhs annually.

The university's cut-offs and merit list for the admission process are released online on their official website, and no other form of correspondence is accepted or entertained. The merit list consists of two components. At least 25% to 35% weightage is given to the academic record, which makes up the first part and a 65% to 70% weightage is given to the performance in the entrance exam score, which makes up the second part.
