The institute follows a grade-based Ten-Point System. The SGPA and CGPA indicate the student’s performance in the theory and practical components. 70% weightage is awarded to the Term End Examinations and 30% to the Internal Assessments.
The assignments are uploaded on the Learning Management System (LMS) and the term end examinations are held in June and December each year at the Chandigarh University Distance Education exam centres.

Students can reach the campus via bus, train or aeroplane. The nearest airport to the university is Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport Chandigarh. It is situated 28.5 km away from the campus. The Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) is a university-level entrance examination conducted by the university for admission and scholarship purposes. The test is mandatory for Chandigarh University admissions in BE, B.Pharm, MBA, BA + LLB, BBA LLB, BCom LLB, Pharm D, M.Pharm and Master of Law programmes. For other courses, it acts as a scholarship test. CUCET 2023 first phase is over now and currently CUET 2023 second phase is ongoing. The various details about the CUCET are mentioned below.
CUCET Eligibility Criteria: For UG courses, candidates who have 50% or more marks in 10+2 from any recognised board or appearing for the same, can apply. For the PG courses, 50% or more marks in graduation from a recognised university can apply.
Chandigarh University CUCET Syllabus: The syllabus of CUCET 2023 is segregated into two parts and four sections. The examination tests students in areas like the English language, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, and, Logical Reasoning. Apart from this, the detailed syllabus for each subject varies.

Both online and offline applications for the CUCET Phase II exam are accepted by applicants. The CUCET Phase II exam, however, will be conducted online.
The CUCET brochure cum application form must first be purchased by applicants for Rs. 1000 from university admission departments or authorised centres. Following that, they need to create their profile from the official website. The unique number will be available on the CUCET 2023 form which shall be scratched and filled. Next, they have to fill in the required information and appear for the CUCET 2023 Phase II examination.

Overall: I am a student of Chandigarh University and I am highly satisfied with the infrastructure, faculty, placement and hostel facilities here. The best and world-class environment we have on campus. Along with academics, we are also provided with sports facilities on campus. Our university is known for participating in and winning the inter-college sports tournaments which happen annually. The placement record of our college is good and students can easily get good jobs at good companies.
Placement: For our course, the placement rate is 60% to 70%. Until now, the highest package is Rs 32 LPA, and the lowest package is Rs 2.4 LPA for our course. The hiring organisations include TCS, Tech Mahindra, Amazon and Deloitte. The majority of student was placed from our batch. 80% of students received multiple kinds of employment in companies with varying requirements. CU is excellent for placements for sure.
Infrastructure: 5G Wi-Fi is provided on campus. The classrooms are excellent and well-kept. Regular hygiene is practised. The medical facilities are excellent. I am an asthmatic patient and generally gets difficult for me to be around dirt and pollution but the Chandigarh University campus is quite clean. Moreover, the doctor at the campus assisted with routine checkups. They supply all of the necessary services to the students in need.
Faculty: My instructors are wonderful, especially in terms of communication and cooperation. The course is complicated but Chandigarh University faculty make it easy to understand with their experience and help. They assist learners in being motivated and appreciative of their education. Academics have become increasingly crucial in everyone's life and the teachers very well make students understand this.
Hostel: The hostel features well-furnished rooms as well as a gym and Wi-Fi access. Although the internet is not superfast but still good to work. The mess food is very good and we have multiple cuisines every now and then. Special foods during the festivals can make anyone's day. The security of the hostel is helpful and they treat you very well. I am highly satisfied with the hostel facilities at Chandigarh University.
Overall: CU is one of the best private university in North India which also has NAAC A+ accreditation. One can choose CU without any doubt , there placement cell is very great , companies offers high packages. Infrastructure is also great and people can visit main town via rickshaws or cabs available outside of the campus. Various food Outlet is also available at company premises like , Dominos , Chayos etc.
Placement: The percentage of the students getting placed to companies is roughly around 85%. The highest package goes upto 50LPA and the least 3LPA have been offered by the companies. Top giants like Amazon, Microsoft, Google and many more do recruit. Roughly around 50% gets internship in their 7th semester only by whereas companies like Bosch, Cognizant , Accenture etc. Roles varies from Software Engineer to Developer roles.
Infrastructure: In university , every Academic Block is equipped with Wi-Fi facilities , every classroom are equipped with projectors , also every block has its own Library where you can find every book possible. The University provides equal opportunity to academics as well as extra curricular activity , sports.
Faculty: Talking about faculties, they are very supportive be it for academics or any other extra curricular activity , they will support you in anyway possible. Faculties are very knowledgeable, they even teach you outside of the course. The curriculum is always designed according to the needs of the industry so by the end of the your course you would be industry ready. Exams are not that difficult to pass , however one should always focus to get high marks as it also help in placement shortlisting.
Hostel: There are two categories of Hostel rooms , one is equipped with centralized cooler and the other is with Ac. Mainly there are Nekchand , Zakir etc for Boys hostel and for Girls hostel there are Sukhna , Tagore. Apart from that , mess food is also very good , a variety of food is provided in the mess which includes south indian as well as Mediterranean.
Overall: Hello all! I am a pass out of Chandigarh University Punjab. I did my B.Tech from the university and graduated in 2021. The faculty of CU is one of the best features of the university. Many of them are PhD holders. Moreover, you will witness unity in diversity at the university. Students from more than 80 countries study at the campus for every batch and reside in coherence at the hostels. For the placements, the CU placement cell provides ample training. From mock interviews to aptitude tests, they conduct a lot of activities. Although, the fees is a bit on the expensive side, but the university provides value for money too.
Placement: CU is one of the top QS-ranked universities. This is partially due to its academic quality and partly due to its good placement rate. More than 9,000 companies visit the campus during the placement season. B.Tech and MBA usually have the highest placements. For B.Tech, the highest CTC goes up to Rs 54.75 lakh per annum and for MBA, the package goes up to Rs 28 lakh per annum. I got placed at Microsoft for a package of Rs 5 lakh per annum.
Infrastructure: Infrastructurally, Chandigarh University has one of the best campuses in Punjab. The university has numerous facilities. There are huge sports grounds for games like cricket, basketball, badminton, and volleyball, to name a few. There is a well-stocked library which has books and journals for all courses.
Faculty: The teachers at Chandigarh University are very nice. All of my teachers were like our friends. They were well-versed in their respective fields and used to teach us with utmost dedication. We were assigned a lot of assignments and practicals. But, most of them were interesting and fun to do. Some senior teachers had almost 20 years of teaching experience.
Overall: Chandigarh University is a new-age university. It has a modern outlook towards teaching, placements, as well as overall student development. The crowd at the university is very diverse. You will make friends with students from all across the world, who will have different ideologies and perspectives. The teachers at the university are helpful. They also have good teaching methods which ensures that we are clear with every concept. As far as placements are concerned, the placement cell at CU provides ample training before the final placements. This helps in confidence-building. The campus is huge, it is spread across 250 acres and has any and every facility one can name of. From an on-campus saloon to a shopping store, the university campus has it all.
Placement: As soon as the final year starts, the placement training also begins at the university. More than 900 companies and MNCs visited the campus during the placements for my batch. The placement rate was 80% and I got placed at Amazon, with a CTC of Rs 4 lakh per annum.
Faculty: The academic model at CU is unique. The teachers use this model as well as their teaching experience and deliver each lecture dedicatedly. Not many know that CU is the Coordination Office of the UN, in India, and some of my faculty members were also appointed in charge of the same.
Hostel: On-campus hostel accommodation is there for both boys and girls. The hostels are of supreme quality. A study table and a chair is provided in every room for us to study. The beds are also decent and the wi-fi connectivity is good. There is a geyser in most of the rooms as well as a common TV room. For our grooming needs, we also had a saloon within the campus along with a shopping store for the daily need items.
Overall: If you want exposure as well as learning, then CU might be a good option for you. The university has a very colourful college life if I put it my words. From academics to sports and from fun to learning, the university offers it all. Some of the events that are held at the university are Bollywood nights, international and national conferences, debates, sports competitions, as well as youth summits. Industry visits are also held as per the courses. Hostel accommodation is also provided by the university for boys and girls. The placements have good packages. The average CTC is Rs 8 lakh which is much higher as compared to other private universities in the region.
Infrastructure: The campus area of Chandigarh University Punjab, is huge. It is spread across 250 acres. The classrooms are spacious and most of them have projectors. The labs and libraries are also well equipped and maintained well.
Faculty: My professors were good. No doubt that some of them were a little extra strict, but their teaching methods were nice. Most of the topics were cleared in the first lecture for that topic. However, if we requested our teachers, they were always willing to take another lecture on the same topic. Many of the teachers had research papers published under their names.
Hostel: Hostel rooms are available in AC and Non-AC categories. After this, there is a further division which starts from single sharing and goes up to 5-seater rooms. However, for girls, only 3-seater and 4-seater rooms are available, which I personally found inconvenient. The hostel fee starts from Rs 1,20,000 and goes up to Rs 2, 10,000. Overall, the hostels have all facilities like a canteen, a laundry, a gym, a shopping store, a saloon, an ATM, a medical room, and the list goes on.

Yes, Chandigarh University Institute of Open & Distance Learning (IODL) offers various distance courses at UG and PG levels including BBA, BCA, B.Com, MBA, MCA etc. Admission in Chandigarh University online courses is done on merit basis. The annual fees for Online MBA course at CU IDOL is Rs 17,840. The duration of the MBA course is two years. CU IODL classes are held on weekends.

The Chandigarh University fees for the hostel range from Rs 1,06,800 to Rs 2,10,000 depending on the type of hostel room opted by the students. Apart from this, a recurring fee of Rs 2,700 per month is charged for food and other miscellaneous charges. Chandigarh University hostels have single seater, double seater, triple seater, four seater and five seater rooms for students. However, for girls there are only four seater rooms.
