Jiwaji University admission is through the university's own PhD entrance examination or via valid UGC-NET/CSIR-NET scores. JRF holders are exempted from the entrance exam.

Students who clear CAT, MAT, CMAT, or the MP state CET are eligible for MBA admission. The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Bhopal, conducts centralised counselling for MBA seats. Jiwaji University MCA is a 3-year (6-semester) programme with total fees of INR 70,180. This is a direct School of Studies programme with 30 seats. Admission requires a bachelor's degree with Mathematics at 10+2 or graduation level and 50% marks. The university conducts its own entrance test for MCA admission; valid CUET PG scores are also accepted from 2024 onwards.

Note: MSc Biotechnology students confirmed annual fees of INR 18,450 (college fees) + INR 1,840 (exam fees), bringing the total to INR 40,580 for two years, including all charges. 

Jiwaji University hostel fees are INR 49,600 annually, for both boys and girls. Hostel fee (INR 49,600/year) is paid in two equal semester instalments of INR 24,800 each. Room types include double and triple occupancy.

Jiwaji University provides 4 on-campus hostel accommodations, 2 for boys(Capt Roop Singh Hostel and one additional) and 2 for girls (Mrignaini Girls Hostel and Laxmibai Girls Hostel), each hostel has a capacity of 500 students. Rooms have attached/shared bathrooms. WiFi, 24-hour electricity, water supply, and CCTV surveillance are available. Students must contact the Chief Warden at the time of admission for hostel allotment; availability is not guaranteed and is subject to seat availability.

Jiwaji University fee payment is done online through the MP Online portal (jiwaji.mponline.gov.in). Students who appear on the provisional admission list must complete fee payment within the stipulated period or forfeit their seat to the next merit holder. The Jiwaji University payment process is as follows:

• Visit the official admission portal at jiwaji.mponline.gov.in
• Log in using your application number and date of birth
• Select the course for which you have been provisionally admitted
• Choose your payment mode: Net Banking, Credit/Debit Card, or UPI
• Complete the payment and download/save the payment receipt
• Submit the printout of your completed application form and payment receipt to the respective department at the time of reporting

Alternatively, students can visit an MP Online kiosk with their documents and make a fee payment there. Keep the payment receipt safely — students'll need to present it at the department at the time of physical reporting.

Exam fees are paid each semester separately through the MP Online portal at the time of form submission. Hostel fees are paid directly to the Chief Warden's office at the time of hostel allotment.

Jiwaji University follows a structured refund policy as per the admission rules published on its official website. Students withdrawing before the last date of admission get 90% of their fees returned. After the admission closing date, only the caution money (security deposit) is refunded.

Students who do not submit their qualifying exam results by the last date of admission (as per the undertaking) are not entitled to any refund except caution money. Course change within the university is permitted only once and must be done before the last date of admission. Each student is permitted to apply in a maximum of 5 courses during the admission process.
