Vikram University was founded in 1957 in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh under the amended Act of Vikram University No. 13, 1957. The foundation of this state-owned university was laid by the then Home Minister of India Shri Govind Vallabh Pant. The jurisdiction of this affiliating university includes six districts of the Ujjain division, including Ujjain, Ratlam, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Shajapur and Dewas. There are a total of 172 government and private colleges under the umbrella of this university.

The university is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Its technical and professional courses are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and  the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Madhya Pradesh. Vikram University Ujjain Courses and Eligibility 2023 

Vikram University admissions 2023 will begin shortly. CUET UG 2023 registration window is open till March 30, 2023. CUET UG 2023 exam will be held May 21 - May 31, 2023. The registration started on February 9, 2023. Further, CUET PG 2023 applications will be closed on April 19, 2023. CUET PG 2023 exam dates will be announced very soon. CMAT 2023 exam date will also be announced shortly by the NTA. CMAT 2023 registration process ended on March 13, 2023. On the other hand, JEE Main 2023 session 2 is scheduled to be conducted on April 6, 8, 10, 11, and 12, 2023. 

The Vikram University admission process varies from course to course. With the introduction of CUET in 2022, the university started to accept CUET scores for admission to its various UG and PG programmes. However, for B.Tech, M.Tech, and MBA admissions, it considers JEE Main, GATE, and CMAT scores, respectively. Vikram University Ujjain admissions are done through the MPOnine portal of the Government of Madhya Pradesh. Vikram University Application Process 2023

Vikram University applications must be submitted through the MPOnline portal. Candidates must also use this portal for fee submission. The MPOnline portal can be accessed through the Vikram University official website. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to fill out the application form.

Step 1: Visit the official Vikram University website and click on ‘School of Studies Admissions 2023-24 to go to the university’s MPOnline page.

Step 2: Click on ‘Admissions’ and register yourself on the portal.

Step 3: Fill out the Vikram University application form with all the required details and upload all the necessary documents.

Step 4: Students must pay the Vikram University application fee to successfully submit the application.

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Madhya Pradesh, conducts the centralised Vikram University counselling process for B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, and MCA programmes at the university. Counselling for B.Tech, M.Tech, and MBA is done on the basis of marks obtained by the students in the JEE Main, GATE, and CMAT exams, respectively. The university also offers admission to its M.Tech programmes on the basis of merit. On the other hand, Vikram University MCA counselling is done on the basis of a student’s performance in the last qualifying exam. The university also conducts a college-level Vikram University counselling process for admission to the vacant quota seats in these programmes.

The university now accepts CUET for its various UG and PG programmes. It prepares and releases the course-specific Vikram University Ujjain merit lists based on the CUET scores produced by the applicants at the time of application.
