Jiwaji University was established on May 23, 1964, and is the foremost university in India and a highly regarded centre for teaching and research. Jiwaji University is an affiliating public university in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India.

The university offers more than 90 courses across undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral departments. Jiwaji University, Gwalior courses include engineering and architecture, art, humanities and social sciences, commerce, computer application and information technology, sciences, law, education, management and business administration, media, mass communication and journalism, and medical and allied sciences.

National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has accredited Jiwaji University by awarding it an ‘A' grade on November 4, 2017. The JU CET is held in March every year for admissions to undergraduate programmes (UG or PG), including distance learning (DL) and multi-media technologies.

Jiwaji University's application process generally starts in March every year with the release of the application form for the MBA programme. • Visit the official admission portal of the university
• Select the programme and fill the registration form with the required information, including educational details, personal details, and contact address.
• JU CET is a computer-based test, which is mandatory to qualify to be eligible for admission. Upon qualifying for the examination, students are invited for viva voce by the Jiwaji University, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh admission committee (the admission committee is different for different courses). The selection of Jiwaji University, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh admission students is based on their overall performance in the last qualifying examination, JU CET marks, and viva-voce marks.
• Students willing to get admission in PhD programme are exempted from JU CET only if they have qualified for national-level entrance examinations such as UGC/ CSIR NET (JRF) examination, SET, GATE (with a valid score), or Teacher Research Fellowship (TRF).
• For admission to a degree of proficiency in Mongolian, Indonesian, and Hebrew, the selection for admission is done on a merit basis as per the certificate of proficiency (CoP) performance in the respective languages. Merit lists are prepared for each category, i.e., students belonging to categories such as SC, ST, OBC, PWD, and EWS are eligible for marks concession as per the approved admission policy of the university.

Jiwaji University, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh placement process often starts in September with the campus drive of top firms having national and international reputations. In 2021, 60% of students were placed in their desired fields and positions according to their aspirations and skills.

Types of Scholarship:

1) Merit-cum-Means Scholarship: Merit-cum-Means scholarship is available for deserving students whose family's gross income does not exceed Rs 2,50,000 per annum.  

2) Merit-cum-Capitation Scholarship: Merit-cum-Capitation scholarship is available for deserving students whose family's gross income does not exceed Rs 2,50,000 per annum. 

3) Recognised Merit Scholarship: Recognised Merit Scholarship is awarded to deserving students of higher secondary or equivalent qualification. The university recognises a student as 'recognised merit' once the student has acquired a minimum CGPA (CGPA and SGPA in the previous year). 

4) Financial Aid in the form of Hostel Fee and Book Allowance: For students whose family's income does not exceed Rs 1,50,000 per annum. 

The eligibility is based on extraordinary academic performance in a specialised field. These awards are named after the Jiwaji University professors who worked and guided the students in that discipline.

The 235-acre campus of the university has everything a student will need for their overall development. The campus is located at Gwalior. The university believes in providing the students with the best environment for learning and the most advanced infrastructure for professional growth. The Jiwaji University, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh campus houses more than seven schools and special centres, classrooms complexes, student, faculty, and residential staff quarters, a healthcare centre operational 24 hours, and an administration block. In addition, the campus is well equipped with a sports ground for indoor and outdoor games, a gym, ATM, library, mess, and shopping facilities.

• Hostel – Jiwaji University, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh hostel is spacious and well-furnished, with the availability of a large dining hall. With seventeen hostels provided with recreational facilities such as TVs, health clubs, indoor games, and PCOs, each hostel has its live-in wardens and a faculty member who administers the accommodation. It is to be noted that admission doesn't ensure guaranteed hostel accommodation due to the limited capacity of the hostels. The university offers accommodation to the students based on different factors. There is a separate hostel for married students. Two hostels are available for men and women.
• Gym - Students can take care of their health and fitness by using this gymnasium facility provided by the university. The gym is well equipped with exercise and training equipment. The gym helps the students to stay fit and healthy.
• Sports – The campus has outdoor and indoor games facilities for students' recreation, including basketball, badminton, tennis courts, cricket, and football grounds. The campus sports ground also has a running track. The university also promotes sports like weight-lifting, taekwondo, trekking, and mountaineering. 
• Cafeteria – The air-conditioned cafeteria facilities provided by the university include Chinese, Indian, and South Indian cuisines. There is another split cafeteria available for coffee and snacks on the campus. 
• Auditorium – Jiwaji University, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh Convention centre has two auditoriums, three lecture halls, one committee hall, one committee room, and one training room. These all are used for academic talks, conferences, seminars, slide and film shows, demonstrations, lectures, workshops, etc.
• Medical/ Hospital - The health centre at the university, right from its inception, has been striving to provide comprehensive health care, i.e., preventive, curative, and promotive services to students only. However, for university staff, there is also a dispensary on the campus.
• Wifi – The university has high-speed wifi connectivity in all laboratories, libraries, hostels, auditoriums and seminar halls, and even guest houses. The campus has been using the new standard for next-generation wireless technology for wifi networks so that the teachers, students, and support staff can easily access the data, voice, multimedia, and video conferencing services and research, e-learning, and business applications.
• IT Infrastructure – The university has set up facilities for in-house use of e-mail, computers, and internet services for all students, project staff, and faculty members. This unit of the university offers a variety of e-services to the students in literature search, computation, and graphics.
• Laboratories – Jiwaji University laboratories are air-conditioned and equipped with various modern instrumental facilities related to all the fields. They are sophisticated but well-equipped, where more than 40 students can perform their experiments simultaneously.

• Student Grievance Cell: The university has a student grievance cell dedicated to resolving any issues about the campuses or premises of the university and its various departments. This cell is monitored by the security department of the ji the university which deals with any problems arising out of this cell. The security staff has been trained in handling situations that may arise and proper communication, so students get redressal within a very short time without much inconvenience.
