Maharaja Ranjit Singh College of Professional Sciences - MRSC Indore - MRSC

Maharaja Ranjit Singh was born, on November 13th, 1780. He was proclaimed as Maharaja of Punjab on April 12th 1801. He, like his father Sardar Mahan Singhji and mother Raj Kaur, was a very devoted Sikh. He always followed the Sikh code of conduct. He was a great warrior; democrat, philanthropist and patriot. He integrated the MISLS (small states) into a secular powerful Punjab and thus negated the saying of Afghans, "Grass never grows where Afghan horses have trodden." Although crowned king, he refused to wear the emblem of royalty and wore a simple turban. He also refused to sit on the throne. The coins did not bear his name or image. The Will of people was given great regard. Hindus, Sikhs and Muslims were equal before law and had equal rights. 

Maharaja, as a real democrat helped educational and religious institutions of all communities. He never neglected the code of ethics even in the time of trouble of war. Maharaja Ranjit Singhji, the Lion of Punjab and a great patriot expired on June 27th, 1839 of a paralytic attack. 

To perpetuate the memory and ideals of this Great Son of India, Maharaja Ranjit Singh College of Professional Sciences has been established in 1994 by the Indo Friends Foundation, Indore. The Indo Friends Foundation is a voluntary, non political, non profit making organisation registered with the Government of M.P. as a public trust. Inspired by the great patriot and democrat, the Lion of Punjab - Maharaja Ranjit Singh and his immense love for education, the foundation named the Institute as "Maharaja Ranjit Singh College of Professional Sciences". 

The Mission statement of Maharaja Ranjit Singh College of Professional Sciences is,
"Impart value added Education of Global standards to help the student work for competitive Excellence & Financial Freedom ".
This helps in an exalted aim to produce ideal members for society having scientific, professional knowledge, skills possessing character and commanding balanced personalities which others would like to emulate for the good of all (Sarbat Da Bhala). 

The Management also ensures that erosion of our cultural heritage does not take place and sense of awareness of our value system, of unity and diversity, of integrated India and nationalism takes firm roots. 

We expect our students to be self disciplined, honest, caring, considerate, well mannered, willing to help others and to become responsible citizens following the Constitution of India, in letter and spirits, and spreading the message of universal brotherhood. 

The objectives of the institute are very well reflected by the Emblem which has the motto "Hard as steel and soft as flower" inspires one to do good deeds for mankind and never be afraid of facing any problems in doing so.

Overview Placement

In today's dynamically changing market, building an effective career strategy for the students becomes imperative. The Training and Placement Cell is a resource for providing career-related information and building employability skills to help the students bridge the gap between them and the corporate world to take advantage of new or upcoming job opportunities. 

The Training and Placement Cell is thus an integral part of the institute, having complete infrastructure for effective functioning of the cell. The Training and Placement Cell liaisons with the prospective hiring organizations till the actual placement takes place. The cell maintains a very cordial relationship with all the recruiting industries. 

Training activities are organized throughout the year in an effort towards preparing the prospective students for the campus selection programmes. Such training provides students with adequate exposure in tackling live problems encountered by the industry, students are also exposed to the latest industry practices. The cell regularly invites various industries and reputed firms for campus recruitment. The cell is sensitized to function all through the year towards generating placement and training opportunities for the students. The assistance offered is as follows:

  • All eligible students register for Placement and assessed for employability skills.
  • Students are provided Career Counseling/Guidance and Placement Preparation Sessions in Soft skills, Attitudinal skills, Group Discussions and Mock Interviews.
  • Students undergo Experiential Learning/Training which includes Outdoor Learning Sessions by reputed facilitators, Project work and Summer internship in leading companies.
  • The cell organizes regular Student Industry Interface.
  • The cell organizes regular guest lectures of industry experts from various fields.
  • Seminars, workshops are held to keep the students abreast of the technological advancements in the different streams.
  • Students are offered placement opportunities with prospective employers based on their skill levels, aptitude and career aspirations.
