Admission Notice-IIT Bombay Invites Applications for PG 2016
Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay is inviting applications for admission to Master of Technology (MTech), Master of Philosophy (MPhil), Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D), dual degree M.Sc. Ph.D programs offered in various disciplines for the academic session 2016.
Candidates must have obtained first class or 60% (55% marks for SC/ST) marks in B.E. /B.Tech/ B.Sc. (Engg.)/M.Sc. /MCA/ MBBS/M.Pharm/B.Pharm (4 year degree)/BDS (4 Yr. Degree)/ Associate Membership Examinations conducted by recognized professional bodies (such as Institution of Engrs. (India), Institute of Chemical Engrs., Aeronautical society of India, Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engrs., Indian Institute of Metals etc) and recognized as equivalent to B.E/B.Tech degree.
- The candidate must have a master’s degree in Arts, Commerce or equivalent with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent letter grade (50% for SC/ST) from a recognized university or deemed university. Or
- The candidate must have a B.Tech/M.Sc. degree or equivalent along with an adequate background in social sciences with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST).
The candidate must have a master’s degree in Engineering/ Technology or equivalent degree with at least 60% (55% for SC/ST)
Application can be made online.
- Admission to M.Phil program is open to the candidates who qualify in M.Phil Entrance Test (MET)/GATE/UGCJRF/UGC lectureship. It is mandatory for the candidates to appear in MET 2016.
- The intake for dual degree M.Sc.Ph.D program would be through JAM followed by an interview conducted by the Department of Energy Science and Engineering.
