As per the academic calendar released by the technical education regulator, the classes for existing students will begin from August 17, 2020, and academic session including lateral entry to the second year will begin from October 15, 2020.
All India Council of technical education (AICTE) has released the academic calendar for all the engineering/management and affiliated colleges. As per the academic calendar released by the technical education regulator, the classes for existing students will begin from August 17, 2020. The classes can begin in either online/offline or blended mode as per the prescribed protocols related to COVID-19.
Meanwhile, the teaching schedule with academic session including the lateral entry to the second year will begin from October 15, 2020. The academic calendar has been revised in accordance with the directives issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs. As per the directives, all academic institutes, universities and colleges will remain shut until July 30, 2020, due to an increase in the number of coronavirus cases in India. AICTE had also directed the institutes earlier to offer provisional admissions to PGCM and PGDM programmes in management courses.

AICTE Academic Calendar 2020-21 Dates
The following dates have been issued by AICTE in regards to the academic calendar 2020-21 for Engineering colleges:
