A recent survey conducted by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) suggests that the Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) degree is the most employable degree. It says that a B.E degree creates the most employable talent which is evident from the numbers that have risen to 57.09% in 2019 from 51.7% in 2014. It shows that the chances of getting employed with a B.Ed degree are far greater compared to other courses.
Those B.E offering colleges which strictly follows the AICTE norms and are under the aegis of the University of Mumbai offers the highest quality of education which in turn attracts enviable starting salaries after completion of studies.
Several Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) students in the past have been able to grab handsome salary packages in reputed companies. Students like Abdullah Khan who was picked up by Google for an annual salary package of 1.2 crores reinstates the statement that B.E degree holders are the most employable students compared to other courses. Last year 4 VIT Wadala (Vidyalankar Institute of Technology) B.E students were offered an annual package of 35 lakh rupees by a Japanese Firm.
According to Umesh Rao, Head Interior Fit Out Projects Godrej, the parents should not mislead themselves by myths like lack of employment for Engineers and instead should refer to an expert before making any decision. There is no dearth of opportunities for Engineers in contemporary times both in private and public sectors. In short, all industries require engineers.
