CBSE Class 12 Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme 2022

CBSE Class 12 Exam Pattern 2023: The Central Board of Secondary Education invoked its conventional examination pattern for class 12 by abolishing the two term exam pattern which was introduced last year to counter the challenges posed by the unpredictable nature of coronavirus. For the academic year 2021-22, CBSE apprehended to conduct class 12th examinations in two terms - Term 1 and 2. The total syllabus for class 12th was divided into two halves - term 1 & term 2, where term 1 exams were based on 50% of the syllabus and the rest of the syllabus was covered in the second term exam. Since this exam pattern created a lot of confusion and uncertainties regarding the weightage of term 1 and term 2 exams in the final result, the examination pattern has been revoked.

CBSE revived its regular exam pattern for class 12th for the academic year 2022-23. As per the latest CBSE class 12th examination pattern, CBSE will conduct the board exams at the end of the year, as it used to do earlier. The final exams will be conducted on 70 marks and 30 marks will be allocated for internals/ Practicals.

Apart from this, the board also introduced some major changes in the CBSE class 12th examination pattern for 2022-23. The following sections contain a complete dissection of the latest pattern for the CBSE 2023 examination.
