The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the official notification for the registration process of regular students of classes 9th and 11th for the 2018-19 academic session. All the schools affiliated to the board should start registering themselves on the official website.
As per the official notification, CBSE has advised all the schools to offer only those subjects that have been permitted by the board. Otherwise, CBSE may take strict action against the school which may lead to the cancellation of the registration made by students.

Also, the board has made it clear that the Aadhaar number is not required for online registration. Even though the Aadhaar number field has been provided in the registration form but it is not mandatory and students who do not possess the same can enter either their passport number/ ration card number/ bank account number or any other valid government identification proof number.

Foreign nationals can provide their passport number in the respective field. In case, the passport number is not available, they can provide their Social Security Number or any other ID Number issued by their country can be mentioned.
