Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has introduced two new courses - Bachelor of Business Administration (Services Management) and an MA in Journalism and Mass Communication course. The admission and classes for both will start from the next academic session (January 2020).
The programmes include PG Diploma, Masters' Degrees, Bachelors' Degrees, Diploma, PG Certificate, Certificate amongst others.

In a press release, the IGNOU said that the MA course will be helpful for those who seek a full-time career in radio, new media, advertising, media research, research and development. Adding to this, the IGNOU said that it is further beneficial for those who are already from the field or they would want to work on their skills and knowledge.
The eligibility criteria for the MA course in Journalism and Mass Communication holds that the graduates can take up the course. The programme will be in English medium and the fee for the same is Rs 25,000/two years. The fee can be paid in two instalments of Rs 12,500 per year, the press release said.

The BBA programme is offered in partnership with Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited (MKCL). In the course, the students need to get a hands-on experience at an organisation which could be different entry-level opportunities in any service sector during the programme. The duration of the course goes from 3 years to 6 years. 10+2 students will be eligible for the BBA course and the selection will be done through an entrance exam.
The last date to apply to the MA course is December 31 and December 20 is the last date for the BBA course.
