For the first time in the history of IIM Amritsar, a student has bagged the highest salary package of Rs. 54 lakh per annum and surprised everyone. The premier institute’s final placement process for the batch of 2016-18 witnessed a satisfactory number of students securing jobs with outstanding packages. The highest package offered this year was three times higher than IIM Amritsar’s previous highest package that was offered to a student. A second-year MBA student with a specialisation in Marketing has achieved this fete.

Chairperson of Placement Cell at IIM Amritsar, Professor Arun Kaushik, revealed that a job offer with the highest package of Rs. 54 lakh was made to Abdul Quadir by Toloram Group. The headquarters of the company is located in Singapore. Abdul is from Ahmedabad in Gujarat, and he joined IIM Amritsar in 2016.
Apart from Toloram Group, ICICI Lombard offered the highest package of Rs. 18 lakh per annum. The placement process of the premier institute concluded in March 2018. Expressing his happiness, Abdul Quadir said that he was thrilled to receive this esteemed offer from a reputed Singapore-based company. However, he did not reveal many details about his placement offer. He expressed that his stay at IIM Amritsar was fantastic and thanked faculty members, fellow students and administration for being cooperative in all the aspects.
